The Ivisan's Feast Celebration
The municipality of Ivisan celebrated the town fiest last September 10, 2010. Saint Nicholas of Tolentino is the patron of the Ivisanon. They usually have a prodigious celebration. Each family have thier own way in celebrating the town fiesta. Their are families whom open their house for everybody to have some eat. They used to do this as their "panata" to Saint Nicholas of Tolentino as the Patron of Peace. While others are busy in the different activities held in Ivisan, especially the assigned members of the different organizations.
From the first day of September, Municipality of Ivisan and the Ivisanon were preparing the town for the once in a year event. Different activities were held such as the food feast, variety show, mayor's cup (basketball league), cyclist race, senior citizens' night, coronation night for the Miss Ivisan and many others.
Before the feast day, the Ivisan Parish Church offers mass every morning to Saint Nicholas of Tolentino. At the day before the feast day, they held a mass in the morning and a procession in the afternoon, together with the fourth year students of the Ivisan National High School. Everyone enjoy of what they done. At the day of feast, different people of the different barangays of the Ivisan as well as in the other parts of the Western Visayas, attended the mass media as a sign of devotion to Saint Nicholas of Tolentino.
The town fiesta end with a little bit of tired but a full heart of happiness.

The News
The one barangay captain of the municipality of Ivisan named Hon. Elmor Buloso of Poblacion Sur of Ivisan, got the title "Outstanding Barangay Captain in Boold Donation" in the whole Region VI of Western Visayas. The whole Ivisan is proud to him!
